The Green Bay Packers expected to be in a different place at the halfway point of the 2018 season. After eight games, the Packers are 3-4-1 and are looking up to the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings.
One of the reasons the Packers are struggling is the offense. They are ranked in the top 10 when it comes to total yards, but they are only averaging 24 points per games and the run game has not been a major factor. Aaron Rodgers has been solid, but he has room for improvement as well, recording a completion percentage of 60.6 which would be the lowest in his career as a starter if it stands, and posting 39 throwaways according to Pro Football Focus.
“We’re not hitting on all cylinders,” Rodgers said. “We’re hurting ourselves in negative-yard plays and missed throws and turnovers at the wrong time, and not being on the same page too many times. It’s happening at the worst time when we have to play our best. “
In order for the Packers to secure a playoff spot, they will likely have to win seven of their final eight games. Can they do it? Here’s a look at predictions for the Packers second half of the 2018 season.
